Our story is simple. We’ve grown by doing the job better.
Through meticulous craftsmanship and environmentally conscious processes, we’re committed to making a difference — restoring your journey, one expertly repaired car at a time.
Tony Lawman
CEO
ABL started as a family run business over 30 years ago. As we grew, that background and experience gave us our ambition.
So, in 2015 we founded the 1Touch Repair Group with small, innovative, technically smart centres. Each providing an alternative to the large-scale industry sites. They still do. Insurers and clients enjoyed the difference, so we added more. And at the end of 2020, backed by Private Equity investment, ABL and 1Touch Repair became ABL 1Touch.
Quality, cost control and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do. Across the UK, our expert teams combine cutting-edge techniques with eco-friendly practices to deliver efficient repairs that not only restore your vehicle but also protect our planet.
The rest isn’t history. The story is happening now.
Timeline
We were early advocates of ‘repair not replace’, the benefits being obvious. Many in our industry now do the same. Attitudes have changed. Our attitude is to continuously improve and find what we can do more of, and next.
We mean green.
Our working practices have the BSi Kitemark. We use low energy paint products and equipment to help us deliver sustainable repair solutions. Can we deliver a meaningful plan to reduce our energy usage without compromising quality? We’re looking. We are currently recycling 40% of our waste with a target to be at 80% by 2028. Our repair and paint products are already amongst the most environmentally friendly out there.
All of which means we’ve achieved Carbon Neutrality status across our group and been awarded PAS 2060. We’re now working on achieving net zero across the group.
Awarding the rewarding.
We continue to celebrate our achievements within the industry, and we find ourselves being presented with awards throughout the year. Industry wide awards recognising our innovation, sustainability and efficiency are always great to receive, However our favourite awards, are the quiet, discrete, and sincere thanks we get directly from our customers. Congratulations to all those who do the hard work daily, it means the world to us.
Assured. Not simply insured.
We have strong relationships with some of the leading car brands, as well as the leading UK insurers and fleet providers.
All insurers and fleet partners come to us for the speed of repairs at the right price, level of intuitive service and the superb quality of work.
With 30 years behind us, we know everyone who deals with us appreciate the informed conversations and realistic appraisals from experienced and open staff. Plus, the entrepreneurial savviness underpinning all we do.
Our values are a daily challenge – to run a business that always lives up to them in everything we do.
Pride
Committing ourselves to always delivering a top quality repair service, on time and on budget. A result that delights our customers and satisfies our own uncompromising standards.
Innovation
We’re happy to take the first step. To find the opportunity to embrace and develop new ideas and techniques. Our curiosity and ambition mean we’re not comfortable standing still.
Responsibility
We’re answerable. In our relationships with our people and customers, the way we do business and the imprint we leave on the environment. We strive to be better and take responsibility across all areas of our business.
